Venniradai Moorthy was a Tamil comedian and actor who had acted in over 400 movies in Tamil cinema. He was known for his distinctive style of comedy and timing. He was born on 5th August 1936 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Moorthy started his career as a stage actor and later transitioned to movies. He made his debut in the movie "Aayiram Roobai" in 1964. Some of his notable movies include "Kadhalikka Neramillai," "Thillu Mullu," "Kalyanaraman," and "Pammal K. Sambandam."
Moorthy had also worked as a screenwriter and director. He had won several awards for his acting, including the Best Comedian award from the Tamil Nadu Government in 2002.
Venniradai Moorthy passed away on 14th August 2020 at the age of 84 due to age-related ailments. His death was mourned by his fans and colleagues in the film industry.
